This job is for a lead specialist at a Washington state employment center in Silverdale, where you'll guide a team in delivering job placement and training services to people seeking work and businesses.

About the Workforce Services Division:
Workforce Services Division (WSD) is made up of three Lines of Business: WorkSource, Central Operations System Support, and Washington Service Corps (WSC).
WSD administers the Labor Exchange (LEX), Migrant Seasonal Farmworker (MSFW), Veterans Services, Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA), and WorkFirst programs for job seekers and employers in Washington and provides job seekers with referrals to partners providing Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act (WIOA) adult, youth, and dislocated worker training and support services.
As a WorkSource Specialist Lead, you will support the WorkSource Kitsap Supervisor in managing department contracts, programs, and service delivery to achieve or surpass performance targets, helping to set measurable goals, expectations, and initiatives aligned with the agency’s mission, vision, and WorkSource system priorities.
Provide comprehensive, customer-focused employment and training services, and maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with agency and program requirements.

Qualifying candidates will meet one of the following criteria options:
Option 1
One year (1) as a WorkSource Specialist 4 or equivalent class within the Employment Security Department, or another state’s Employment Security agency.
Option 2
A Bachelor's degree AND four (4) years of relevant experience in workforce development, social or human resource services, public relations, or public contact work, such as: unemployment insurance, social services, human resource services, education, public relations, benefits programs, insurance claims, law enforcement and banking OR a combination of education and/or relevant experience, which includes one year experience as a designated lead worker.
A Master's degree will substitute for one year of the required experience.
Option 3
A combination of education and/or relevant experience totaling eight (8) years.
