Requirements
This role is a specialized position focused on wildland fire response within the Clear Creek Forest District. The primary responsibilities encompass a range of activities related to wildland fire management, including wildfire prevention strategies, pre-suppression measures, active fire suppression efforts, fire investigation, and the execution of prescribed burns. Additionally, the individual in this position will play a vital role in supporting various state forest maintenance projects, contributing to the overall health and sustainability of the forest ecosystem. This multifaceted role requires a commitment to safety, environmental stewardship, and collaboration with other professionals in the field to effectively manage and mitigate the risks associated with wildfires.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six months of experience in entry-level fire prevention, detection, or suppression work; or
- Six months of unskilled experience in construction; equipment operations; or equipment, automotive, grounds, or facility maintenance work; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Special Requirements:
- All employees must complete the National Wildfire Coordinating Group (NWCG) Firefighter Type 2 (FFT2) training within six months from the date of hire.
- All employees must complete the NWCG Wildland Fire Observations and Origin Scene Protection for First Responders (FI-110) training within six months from the date of hire.
- This position requires possession of an active motor vehicle license.
