The primary purpose of this position is to supervise and be responsible for workers who provide, Water Production services and operation, Plumbing, maintenance and repair on water distribution system, water wells and components, Bonito water lines, wastewater collection system, sewage lift stations, natural gas distribution system, fire suppression systems.

In order to qualify, you must meet the quality level of experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards Handbook X-118C.

QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants will be rated in accordance with the OPM Qualification Standard Handbook X-118C for the WG-5400 Industrial Equipment Operation Family.

Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most blue-collar positions, you must meet any screen-out element listed, and show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying.

Qualification requirements emphasis is on the quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. The screen out element for this position is the ability to lead and supervise.

JOB ELEMENTS: Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1.

Knowledge of a wide range of principles, processes, and techniques of trade(s) and/or craft(s) supervised and personnel management policies, practices, and procedures, including sexual harassment and Equal Employment Opportunity/ Equal Employment Treatment.

2. Knowledge of safety regulations, practices, and procedures.

Knowledge of the use and maintenance of hand and power tools, equipment, and precision measuring and /or test equipment common to trades supervised. 3.

Skill in installing, modifying, and repairing new and existing utility, supply, and disposal systems and equipment without more than normal supervision.

Skill in troubleshooting difficult or hard-to-detect leaks and operating problems. 4. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, sketches, and technical specifications.

Ability to plan and organize work assignments to include determining resources required to accomplish mission. 5. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. 6.

Must be able to obtain/maintain a Secret security clearance. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work.

You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
