We are seeking a Waiver Administration Plan Reviewer who is motivated to help individuals and families navigate life's challenges and achieve long-term wellness.

Will review and approve Case Management Plans of Service for policy adherence and accuracy.
  • Within given timelines review service plans and plan changes completed by providers of Case Management to ensure contract compliance and delivery of Case Management is adequate. Approve service plans and plan changes to allow for provider referral.
  • Review plan and change requests to assure services requested are appropriate and will meet the intended needs. Plans reviews are started and returns are responded to in a timely fashion.
  • Coordinate with Waiver and Case Management Policy Staff and assist in developing policy to improve service systems for consumers.
  • Accurately collect and report requested data. Self assigning plans in accordance with division policy and procedures.
  • Coordinate with Provider Case Management Staff to assure and/or improve compliance with requirements in Plan development implementation.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.


The South Carolina Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (BHDD), Office of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (OIDD) plans, develops, coordinates, and funds services for South Carolinians with the severe, lifelong disabilities of:

  • intellectual disability and related disabilities
  • autism spectrum disorder
  • traumatic brain injury
  • spinal cord injury and similar disability

This position is located at Central Office, in Cayce, SC.


Requirements

A Bachelor's degree and at least two (2) years of experience in a Professional Work Environment; or a Bachelor's Degree and one (1) year of experience in a Management Position, or a Master’s Degree.

Qualifications

Ability to exercise judgment, discretion, maintain effective working relationships, interpret and apply laws, regulations, policies and procedures. Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and moderate computer skills.

Department of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General “List of Excluded Individuals/Entities” screening; South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles Driving Record check; and a review of transcripts verifying educational credentials.

All new employees who are healthcare providers are required to provide documentation of immunity or be immunized against measles, mumps, rubella, pertussis, Varicella and Hepatitis B prior to beginning employment.

State Disaster Plan: In accordance with the State's Disaster Plan, which includes hazardous weather, employees of The South Carolina Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities, Office of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities may be required to work in times of an emergency or disaster.
