MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Must be at least 18 years of age AND have graduated from high school or been awarded a certificate equivalent to graduating from high school; OR, Have completed a formal vocational training program; OR, Have received a statement from school authorities agreeing with preference for employment rather than continuing education.(Valid documentation will be required upon hire.).
Must be able to perform prolonged standing, walking, reaching, lifting and carrying objects up to 10 lbs independently and objects over 10 lbs with assistance.
Must be able to accommodate a flexible work schedule to include weekends, holidays, and night time. Must obtain a Food Handlers Card.
Must be able to complete Controlling Alcohol Risks Effectively (C.A.R.E) to assure serving alcohol responsibly.
Must complete Cash Handling Training Course before handling fund and Refresher Course once per year. Knowledge of basic math.
Excellent customer service skills and good communication skills orally and in writing. This activity is a Drug-free workplace.

NONAPPROPRIATED FUND POSITION DESCRIPTION JOB TITLE: Waitstaff JOB SERIES: 7420 PAY LEVEL: NA-03 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs necessary preparations in assigned area prior to opening the dining room such as; setting the tables, preparing pantry, and other daily preparations.
Presents menu, offers suggestions to patrons, and answers questions about menu items.
Records desired selections from guests and turns in the orders for preparation to the kitchen by an electronic register system. Serves ordered items and beverages to patrons in a timely manner.
Check patrons' identification in order to ensure that they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages.
Observes dining processes and responds to additional patrons¿ requirements by inquiring of their needs. Replenishes utensils, refills water glasses and is alert to patron spills or other special needs.
Concludes dining experience by acknowledging choice of club and inviting patrons to return. Clears and cleans table and the immediate area as needed.
Resets the table in preparation for the next guests. Issues checks and accepts payment by processing credit card transactions and cash in accordance with cash handling requirements.
Maintains communication with Club management, waitstaff, kitchen staff, and other club staff to make sure the patrons¿ needs are met. Keeps kitchen staff informed by noting timing of meal progression.
Responsible for assigned stations and following any special instructions by supervisor.
Responsible for complying with standard methods and procedures such as conduct, etiquette, dress code, serving techniques, and complete familiarity with the menu and any subsequent day to day changes.
May be required to work at outdoor events such as festivals and special events performing various duties including serving orders to customers. May be required to assemble food products.
Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner. Takes action to solve problems quickly.
Alerts the higher-level supervisor, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise. Adheres to safety regulations and standards.
Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor.
Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment. Performs other related duties as required.
