Vocational Rehabilitation Assistant 1/2 located in Anchorage!

This position is in the General Government Unit (GGU) at a Range 10/12.


What You Will Be Doing:
The Vocational Rehabilitation Assistant (VRA) will be directly involved in assisting clients, including scheduling appointments and conducting in-office meetings. The VRA will solicit information from clients and maintain detailed records. Additionally, they will assist with the purchase of services and equipment for clients. The VRA will be required to maintain current knowledge on a wide variety of vocational rehabilitation services, including employment opportunities, medical resources, training/education opportunities and other rehabilitation-related subjects.

Requirements

Vocational Rehabilitation Assistant Level 1:High school graduation or the equivalent;ANDOne year of experience performing a variety of office clerical assignments of average difficulty or performing specialized complex clerical work.

This experience is met by service as an Administrative Clerk 2, Accounting Clerk 2, or Administrative Clerk 3 with the State of Alaska or the equivalent with another employer.OROne academic year of education from an accredited college.Vocational Rehabilitation Assistant Level 2:One year of entry level experience, learning to provide direct technical and administrative support in the delivery of vocational rehabilitation services.

This experience is met by service as a Vocational Rehabilitation Assistant 1 with the State of Alaska or the equivalent with another employer.OROne academic year of education from an accredited college.

Starting salary will be determined by the level the position is hired at.
