This job involves leading a team of veterinary professionals at a military facility in California, where you'll provide expert animal health care, develop programs to prevent diseases, and manage operations like budgets and staff.
It's ideal for an experienced veterinarian who enjoys supervising others, collaborating with agencies, and focusing on public health and animal welfare in a government setting.
This position is located at the Port Hueneme Veterinary Treatment Facility. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid. Resumes must be two pages (or less).

A qualified candidate must possess the following: Possess a degree of Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree, i.e., Veterinary Medical Doctor (VMD), obtained at a school or college of veterinary medicine accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association Council on Education (AVMA).
Possess a valid unrestricted state license to practice veterinary medicine (may be a valid state license from any US state). Official transcripts must be provided prior to time of hire.
Unofficial college/university transcripts may be uploaded for initial qualification screening.
In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified": Possess active United States Department of Agriculture/ Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (USDA/APHIS) accreditation.
Physical Requirement: Ability to lift 45 lbs and long periods of standing, restraining, kneeling, reaching and sitting, etc.
Must have use of fingers; Both hand and both legs are required; Position requires exposure to intermittent excessive noise. The information provided on your resume should be clear and specific.
