Base salary range: $147,649 - $221,900

Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job is for a veterinarian at a military base clinic in Texas, where you'll provide routine check-ups, treat illnesses and injuries for pet animals owned by service members, and perform surgeries while keeping detailed health records.
It's ideal for an experienced vet who enjoys working with pets in a structured environment and guiding support staff on animal care.
You'll also handle lab tests and issue official health documents for animals.
This position is located at the Fort Bliss Veterinary Treatment Facility. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid. Resumes must be two pages (or less).

A qualified candidate must possess the following: Possess a degree of Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree, i.e., Veterinary Medical Doctor (VMD), obtained at a school or college of veterinary medicine accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association Council on Education (AVMA).
Possess a valid unrestricted state license to practice veterinary medicine (may be a valid state license from any US state). Official transcripts must be provided prior to time of hire.
Unofficial college/university transcripts may be uploaded for initial qualification screening.
In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified": Possess active United States Department of Agriculture/ Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (USDA/APHIS) accreditation.
Physical Requirement: Ability to lift 45 lbs and long periods of standing, restraining, kneeling, reaching and sitting, etc.
