Summary

This job is about being the main go-to person for handling everyday administrative tasks and support programs for staff and squadrons in the U.S.

Space Force, like managing travel cards, personnel data, and security protocols. It involves assisting with military and civilian personnel matters while keeping everything organized and secure.

The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the primary point of contact to Staff and supported Squadrons of Mission Delta 8 for all administrative support programs.

In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Clerical and Administrative Support Positions.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year or will have one year within 120 days of closing of this announcement, of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NK-01, equivalent to the next to lower grade GS-04 or equivalent in the Federal Service.

Specialized experience must include experience in administrative support programs such as, Sexual Assault Representative (SAPR), Government Travel Card (GTC) program, Defense Travel Systems (DTS) administrator, Military Personnel Data System (MilPDS), drug demand program, security program, civilian timecard program Required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise; AND experience assisting/supporting on military and civilian personnel issues and manpower resource requirements.

OR EDUCATION: Four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college, or university.

OR COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: Equivalent combinations of successfully completed education past two years above high school and specialized experience directly related to the work of this position as outlined above that meets the requirements of the position.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1.

Knowledge of the organizational and functional responsibilities and operations of an organization. 2.

Knowledge of various office automation software programs, too!s, and techniques to support office operations and produce a variety of documents such as letters, reports, spreadsheets, databases, and graphs.

3. Knowledge of structure, programs and work methods of organization for personnel/manning issues. 4.

Skill in fact finding, problem analysis, problem resolutions, and development of concrete action plans to solve problems. 5.

Ability to gather, analyze and present facts, communicate effectively, using tact and courtesy and possess the ability to plan, organize work, and meet deadlines. 6.

Ability to plan and organize management programs and functions of an organization. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work.

You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social).

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Major Duties:

Duties: 1. Directly assists the Staff and Squadrons in the management of all administrative support program functions. 2.

Serves as the resident subject matter expert for all mandated administrative support programs. 3.

Stays abreast of current personnel issues and provides explanations of personnel-related requirements, regulations, and procedures to supervisors and managers. 4.

Serves as the point of contact for both civilian and military position utilization. Maintains manpower manning documents. 5.

Develops, establishes, updates, and maintains office procedures and records/files of various types to ensure effective and efficient operation of the office.
