It's a great fit for someone with a technical background who enjoys fieldwork, learning about environmental protection, and contributing to cleaner water and land in South Carolina.
You'll work under supervision in a team focused on safety and compliance.

The South Carolina Department of Environmental Services (SCDES) regulates Underground Storage Tanks (USTs) throughout their entire lifecycle—from planning and permitting to compliance, enforcement, and remediation.
Our mission is to protect public health and the environment by ensuring regulated facilities operate safely and in compliance with state and federal laws.
The Bureau of Regional and Laboratory Services (BRLS) plays a critical role in environmental protection across South Carolina.
BRLS oversees inspections for USTs, public pools, landfills, wastewater treatment plants, drinking water systems, and manufacturing facilities.
We also manage environmental laboratory certification, operate a statewide air quality monitoring network, and maintain a central environmental laboratory in Columbia along with seven regional labs.
Joining our team means contributing to efforts that safeguard the water we drink, the air we breathe, and the land we live on.
