Requirements

In this role, you will be responsible for conducting inspections aimed at safeguarding the operations of Underground Anthracite Coal Mining. This encompasses both mine inspections and rescue operations within the mining environment. All information gathered during these activities will be entered into the electronic data system of the Department of Environmental Protection to maintain both accuracy and efficiency in reporting.

Additionally, the individual in this position will engage with the public and stakeholders in the mining sector to advocate for safety measures and adherence to established standards. During inspections within the mines, evaluations of mining equipment will be carried out to ensure compliance with the prescribed safety regulations. Should any hazardous conditions be identified, it will be the responsibility of the incumbent to promptly inform mine officials and personnel to facilitate necessary corrective measures.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employmentWork hours are 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.This position may require you to be on call 24/7.

Qualifications QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:Ten years of experience in underground anthracite coal mines, with the five years immediately preceding the examination being in the underground anthracite coal mines of Pennsylvania; and graduation from high school or any equivalent combination of experience and training.
