This job involves leading the inspection and management of major highway and bridge construction projects in Pennsylvania, ensuring everything meets safety and quality standards from start to finish.
You'll coordinate with contractors, utilities, and local groups to solve problems and handle paperwork like reports and payments.

As a Transportation Construction Manager 2, you will serve as the Inspector-In-Charge in order to manage complex highway construction projects from assignment to completion in a professional, timely, cost effective, and safe manner.
You will be responsible for ensuring that all work is completed in accordance with approved construction plans, standards, specifications, and contract documents.
Your proficiency in the field will be vital in analyzing project information to resolve or provide support in resolving issues requiring coordination with municipalities, private property and/or businesses, emergency services, railroads, authorities, utilities, and other construction projects.
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, ad-hoc.
In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.
If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Uniontown. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Five years of experience in construction inspection, three of which shall have been in a supervisory capacity, and graduation from high school or equivalent certification or formal training.
Completion of a training program in construction inspection sanctioned by the using agency may be substituted for high school graduation.
An Associate Degree in an engineering or closely related technology may be substituted for one year of the required non-supervisory experience; or
