This job involves leading a team of inspectors to check the quality of materials like asphalt and concrete used in road and bridge projects, ensuring everything meets safety standards for Pennsylvania's infrastructure.
You'll supervise daily inspections, handle testing and documentation, and make on-the-spot decisions to fix any issues.

In this position, you will supervise Transportation Construction Inspectors responsible for evaluating materials and workmanship on road and bridge construction projects.
You will oversee all activities related to inspecting, sampling, testing, and controlling materials such as asphalt, concrete, Portland cement concrete, aggregates, anti-skid, salt, liquid asphalt, and other products used in construction and maintenance.
The role also includes ensuring proper documentation, investigating rejected materials, preparing reports, and exercising independent judgment when making on-site technical decisions.

Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time upon successful completion of probationary period.
In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.
If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office or job site in District 5. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.
