Base salary range: $88,520 - $115,079

This job involves planning, coordinating, and running training exercises focused on surface warfare for the Navy, including creating realistic war game scenarios and leading teams to deliver effective sessions.
It suits experienced military or defense professionals who have hands-on knowledge of naval tactics and enjoy mentoring others in high-stakes training environments.
Ideal candidates are strong communicators comfortable briefing large groups and working with joint military partners.
You will serve as a Training Specialist (SUW) in the Operations and Training Directorate of TACTRAGRULANT.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Examples of experience may include: 1. Extensive experience in Surface Warfare operations at the tactical level; 2.
Experience in combat forces maritime operations at the Warfare Commander level to include Joint/Coalition integration; 3.
Understanding of complex synthetic wargame scenario development, being able to create realistic and challenging scenarios to meet established training objectives; 4.
Must have mastery of current learning and instruction principles to include effective communications, group discussion facilitation, instructional format, and be comfortable briefing large, diverse training audiences.
