Full Job Description

You will serve as a TRAINING SPECIALIST in the Operations and Training Directorate of OFFICE OF THE COMMANDING GENERAL.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Designing and developing training materials and curricula; utilizing training software; performing data analysis relative to curriculum development and testing/evaluation; planning, scheduling and managing multiple training programs and projects.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Major Duties:

  • You will serve as a Training Specialist with the responsibility for compiling, integrating, and reviewing raw data and instructional material recommendations provided by instructors, ensuring quality control in curriculum management.
  • You will be recommending actions to be taken to achieve increased effectiveness and efficiency in training.
  • You will assist the Academics Officer in maintaining standards for curricula design/ redesign, criterion testing, and instructional performance.
  • You will gather, process, evaluate, and report on feedback data from internal and external sources, including questionnaires, student critiques, and evaluator critiques and other sources, which reflect training quality.
  • You will determine the effect of new training requirements, curriculum changes and organizational changes on the information contained in local or Navy and Marine Corps databases.
  • You will provide one-on-one training and guidance to instructional staff personnel on Marine Corps training documentation requirements and course/instructor data included in the Marine Corps databases.
  • You will assist instructors, course managers and division/department heads on matters involving the Learning Standards Division functions.
  • You will compile, prepare, and organize various reports from numerous data sources as requested by higher authority.
