Base salary range: $41,966 - $54,557

This job involves creating, updating, and delivering training programs for law enforcement officers in the U.S. Marine Corps, focusing on equipment use, safety, and procedures at a base in Japan.
A good fit would be someone with experience in training development and instruction, especially in security or police settings, who is comfortable with travel and meeting strict physical and background checks.
Note that medical and dental care is very limited in Japan, so candidates should be prepared for that.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector developing, evaluating, and maintaining training materials for programs of instruction; providing training and classroom instruction of law enforcement equipment usage and application techniques and law enforcement requirements.

You will be required to sign a DD-Form-2760, Qualification to possess firearms or ammunition.
~ You must be willing to complete the Marine Corps Range Safety Officer Course and Basic Instructor Certification Course within 1 year from the date of employment.
~ Must be willing to successfully receive certifications in the following within 2 years from the date of employment: a.
Non-lethal Weapons Instructor, including Taser, baton and Oleoresin Capsicum (OC) spray b. Small Arms Marksmanship Instructor c. Emergency Vehicle Operations Course (EVOC) Instructor d.
Speed Measuring Instructor for Radar and Lidar e. Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Instructor f.
Gas Mask Fit Test Certification ~ You must satisfactorily pass the Police Applicant Suitability Review (PASR) investigation.
~ Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required.
A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
~ This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites.
You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
~ You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
~ Must be able to pass a Medical Physical Examination and pass periodic re-test as required.
