The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the primary point of direct student support.

This position provides educational administrative support for Sheppard Air Force Base, Non-prior service and Prior service students.

Providing in-depth guidance and analysis in any one of the specialty areas of admissions, registration, student service, or scheduling.

In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-07, or equivalent in other pay systems.

Examples of specialized experience includes qualifying specialized experience include: 1) Teaching or instructing in an adult education program, secondary school, college, military installation, or industrial establishment in the appropriate field(s).

2) Supervising or administering a training program. 3) Development or review of training/course materials, aids, devices, etc., and evaluation of training results.

4) Work in the occupation or subject-matter field of the position to be filled that required training or instructing others on a regular basis.

OR EDUCATION: Successfully completed a master's or equivalent graduate degree OR 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree OR LL.B or J.D.

[remove LL.B or J.D., if unrelated] with a major study in education or a subject area related to the position to be filled. NOTE: You must submit copies of your official transcripts.

OR COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: Less than the full amount of specialized experience described; however, I have completed some education as described.

FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in­-grade requirements to be considered eligible.

One year at the GS-07 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-09 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks.

NOTE: Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1.

Knowledge of MilPDS, Technical Training Management System (TTMS), Army Technical Training Resources Systems (ATRRS), AETC Decision Support System (ADSS) and Students Out of Training Status (SOTS), MS Excel and Access databases and knowledge of training data processing rules, operations and procedures.

2. Knowledge of education and training systems. 3. Ability to analyze problems and develop appropriate solutions. 4. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. 5.

Ability to plan, organize work and meet deadlines. 6. Knowledge of registrar program rules, procedures and regulations.

PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work.

You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social).

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Major Duties:

Analyzes student training management data.

Analyzes training management data on both an as needed/irregular basis and on a regular weekly, monthly and annual schedule to provide trend analysis on student production; or to meet mission requirements.

Produces a variety projects.

Collects, consolidates, analyzes and reports wing level trends and required corrective actions to the Group Commanders, 82 TRW Commander, 2 AF, and HQ AETC resulting from Training Group and higher Headquarters inspections on a regular basis.

Provides quality control oversight to the elimination program, student training reports, training status change actions, interface rejects and training record validations.

Generates and analyzes student accounting strength data trends.
