About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f.

Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the U.S.

Army Cyber Center of Excellence at Fort Gordon, Georgia. CYBER EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITIONS ARE NOT SUBJECT TO THE TWO-PAGE RESUME LIMIT.

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe one year of specialized experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position.

Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled.

Specialized experience would be demonstrated by 1) Instructing staff and students in the field of satellite and technical control defense communications systems and other equipment and systems within an organization, 2) Coordinating the design of training to ensure the development of course material for the organization, 3) Preparing training materials and lesson plans to relay to the students and 4) Managing personnel files in the Digital Training Management System (DTMS), Training Scheduling Systems, and Army Training Requirements and Resources System (ATRRS) for all staff and students.

OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M.

in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.

OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%.

To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12.

Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. Major Duties:

  • Conducting classroom, laboratory, and field instruction for student level courses or courses in advanced technical systems within the Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) and Advanced Individual Training (AIT) School.
  • Ensuring teaching supplies, equipment, and classrooms are available and operational at the allotted time.
  • Conducting inspections of secure and non-secure equipment, facilities, and training areas for the command.
  • Serving as instructor in the field of satellite communication system and technical control of defense communications systems.
  • Executing the Program of Instruction for the organization.
  • Assists in the design of training, performance steps, and performance measures to ensure standards are met.
  • Coordinating with other training divisions, organization, Senior leadership, and contractor in the planning, training, and installation of new equipment and equipment upgrades
