The primary purpose of this position is to instruct in the Cyber Transport Courses utilizing approved curriculum IAW AETC instructions.
Perform all classroom related activities and course curriculum development/revision efforts.
Researches, analyzes, coordinates and integrates current technology, policy, doctrine and tactics to support course curriculum.

all teachers must hold at least an associate's degree in order for the school to meet accreditation criteria." "The degree should be in the teaching discipline.
If the degree is not in the teaching discipline, the faculty member must have documented experience, course work, and/or other training in the teaching discipline In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions, Training Instruction Series 1712 + IOR.
***THIS IS A CCAF POSITION*** For Community College of the Air Force GS-1712 positions only: Section 9315 of 10 USC directs the commander of the Community College of the Air Force (CCAF) to comply with standards established by the Secretary of Education to confer associate degrees upon enlisted members who have completed the requirements for the prescribed programs of study.
To comply with this directive, all faculty members of the Community College of the Air Force must meet minimum educational requirements as prescribed by the accrediting body Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, Commission on Colleges (SACS-COC), i.e.
all teachers must hold at least an associate's degree in order for the school to meet accreditation criteria.
NOTE: You must submit a copy of your transcripts with your application In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-07, or equivalent in other pay systems.
Examples of specialized experience includes comprehensive practical knowledge of computer system/networking/electronic systems technology maintenance subjects, to include computer networking, network integration, C2 systems integration, IP routing, remote access, bandwidth management, crypto configuration, network optimization and testing, wireless voice/data/video and awareness of technological changes or new developments, such as would be gained through extended experience and on-the-job training combined with practice and study.
Knowledge of the principles, practices, and techniques of instruction and training aids and devices used in training programs.
OR EDUCATION: Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree OR 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree OR LL.B or J.D.

FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible.
One year at the GS-07 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-09 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks.
NOTE: Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1.

Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work.
