Base salary range: $41,966 - $54,557

Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves teaching new students how to safely operate heavy machinery like cranes and bulldozers in a naval training program, while also managing exams, records, and safety checks.
It's a hands-on role that combines instructing in risky settings with administrative tasks like updating lesson plans and tracking budgets.
A good fit would be someone with teaching experience in equipment operation, strong organizational skills, and a focus on safety, ideally from a military or industrial background.
You will serve as a Training Instructor (Advance Equipment Operator) in the Naval Education and Training Command of NAVCONSTTRGCEN GULFPORT MS.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:1.) Teaching technical course, lecturing and giving instructions on operating advanced equipment such as crane, bulldozers, excavators and more, 2.) Monitoring and evaluating student comprehension and course effectiness, 3.) Conducting inventory of all testing materials to include test administrators guides, student booklets and instructors answer keys, 4.) Conducting safety inspections regulary or as need when curriculum changes 5) Maintaining all student academic exam records and 6.) Utlizing multiple databases to track training budget, track training certifications and to maintain training functions.
