This job involves managing and coordinating transportation logistics for the Navy, including planning routes, analyzing costs, and ensuring efficient use of military and commercial transport options.

You will serve as a Traffic Management Specialist in the Supply Management department of NAVSUP FLC SIG GF.
The Secretary of Defense has ordered a department-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the DoD hiring freeze.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying a wide range of DOD and Navy Traffic Management policies and principles and; 2) Planning experience in transportation functions at the unit field level to provide an economic analysis, operational oversight and staff reporting functions necessary to ensure the success of this function and; 3) Administering knowledge of commercial transport policies and capabilities, as well as the capabilities of military airlift, sealift and inland surface lift assets.
