The Time and Leave Coordinator ensures accurate and compliant time and leave management for a large state agency with over 4,000 employees.
This role is essential in supporting the Department of Social Services (DSS) time and leave processing objectives and maintaining integrity.
Maintains documentation to ensure compliance with applicable rules/regulations for all employee time and leave changes for DSS.
Utilizes knowledge of operations, programs, and general administrative procedures to make independent decisions concerning State and Agency Rules and Regulations relating to all functions performed in the processing of information and materials regarding time and leave.
Processes personnel action action forms (1411s) for resignations, dismissals, retirement, and transfers. Ensures all leave/time are accurately recorded in SCEIS prior to the effective date of actions.
Verifies annual leave and comp time payouts; confirms employees receive all annual leave accruals prior to departure.
Reconciles Time/Leave. Utilizes SCEIS Citrix to prepare Time and Leave Reports each pay period (missing time, comp time, overtime, etc.).
Conducts analysis of data captured for errors, conflicts, and required substitutions to ensure the omission of time-related payroll errors and pay consistency in accordance with DSS Policy and Procedures and State Human Resources Regulations.
