Requirements

This is a term-limited position with an anticipated end date of June 30, 2027 contingent upon funding. This position is eligible for full benefits.




Position is a subject matter expert (SME) on the functions and operational policies for Insight and lnfoAdvantage and completes changes related to these system functions, including design and configuration of reports in the financial, budget, procurement, payroll and HR areas.

This position provides knowledge transfer and support to report developers at the agency level statewide, and also provides administration to the processes managing report developer specialized access and tools in Insight and infoAdvantage.

Position also supports the integration between the reporting tools and the CORE/COMPAS application, including folder and report data security access, to ensure a seamless end user experience when utilizing report functions and features in CORE/COMPAS.

Finally, this position is responsible for participating and leading change management activities, such as end-user testing activities, business and system process improvements, working with users to understand their business needs, and processing requests to migrate changes/patches into the applications.

A summary of the duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

Report Administration & Report Design:
  • Position administers the infoAdvantage/Insight application for CORE/COMPAS, to include establishing and managing policies and procedures for use of the application, including user access, and for report management across statewide and department folders.
  • Position works with reporting user groups and other identified stakeholders to determine which statewide reports should be created, updated, deleted to maximize the usability of report formations and prevent duplication of report queries.
  • Position works with vendor staff as necessary in the creation, joining, modification of report universes/schemas contained in the application to meet statewide and agency end-user business needs related to financial, payroll, HR reporting.

CORE/COMPAS Reports User Support:

Position completes troubleshooting, research and resolution of any incident tickets or user requests, provides assistance to the CORE/COMPAS Tier I Help Desk in addressing user questions in this area, and provides audit reporting and compliance monitoring of infoAdvantage/Insight application use, in conformance to established agency, state and other security policies.

Training CORE/COMPAS Reporting Users:
  • Contribute SME information to training design, assist Training teams with developing standardized training materials, and, as needed, delivering training to CORE/COMPAS users.
  • Provide advanced customized training to users as requested.

CORE/COMPAS Reports System Testing:

Position facilitates design, testing, and implementation of configuration and reporting requests for the lnfoAdvantage/Insights application according to established change management procedures, and provides alternate solutions to users as appropriate when configuration to the business need is not technically possible within the system operating.

Minimum Qualifications:
Experience Only:

At least seven (7) years of professional experience in data management in finance, payroll administration, accounting, or other similar work.

OR

Education and Experience:

A combination of related education and/or relevant experience in data management in finance, payroll administration, accounting, or other similar work equal to at least seven (7) years.



The exceptional candidate will possess the proven ability or accomplishment in the following preferred qualifications:

  • Previous State Service related to the work assigned to the position

  • Experience with Microsoft Business Intelligence

  • Experience with CGI Advantage ERP

  • Experience with financial and/or payroll reporting systems within government organization



Conditions of Employment:

  • A pre-employment criminal background check will be conducted as part of the selection process.


Comparative Analysis Process
The comparative analysis process for this position may consist of a structured application review, an online assessment or other structured assessment step.
