Base salary range: $147,649 - $221,900

Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This temporary job involves helping investigate compliance issues at horse racing events in Colorado, enforcing state laws and rules to ensure fair and safe operations.
You'll work with law enforcement, check stables for rule violations, and assist with licensing background checks.

This position is located in the Division of Racing, Bally’s Arapahoe Park and off-track facility located at 26000 E. Quincy Ave. Aurora, CO 80016. This position is responsible for the following duties.
Residency Requirement:

Five (5) years of relevant experience in criminal or compliance investigative experience in a regulatory environment.OR
A combination of related education and/or relevant experience in accounting, anthropology, business administration, criminology, criminal justice, criminalistics, economics, environmental health, finance, law, law enforcement, political science, police science, psychology, public administration, public health, sociology, or a closely related field as determined by the Department.an occupation related to the work assigned equal to five (5) years.

Employees are in a position of public trust in the performance of their job duties and must operate in a manner that maintains the highest standards of honesty, integrity, and public confidence.
As a condition of employment with the CDOR, all personnel must file all necessary Colorado Individual Income Tax (CIIT) returns and pay tax obligations, therefore all employees must undergo a pre-employment evaluation of their tax records/accounts to ensure compliance with this policy.
Final candidates must also complete a successful background investigation and reference check prior to appointment. Certain positions based on duties may require scheduled background investigations.
