Job Description

Summary

This job involves leading technical efforts to design, test, and integrate electronic systems for military surveillance and engagement technologies, such as those used in drone defense programs.

You'll coordinate teams, manage planning for test events, and handle risks to keep projects on track.

Full Job Description

You will serve as a TECHNICIAN in the Maneuver, Surveillance & Engagement Division (MXP), Multi-Sensors Surveillance Systems Branch (MXPN) of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER.

The salary range shown above represents all of the positions within the band, including high grade positions.

This is not a high grade position; therefore, the salary may be limited to a GS-13 Step 10 (currently $138,370).

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower band, NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing technical engineering leadership and guidance for improved design, development, testing, or integration of electronic systems (e.g.

maneuver, surveillance, engagement) to mitigate risk and support technological advancement of warfare programs.

  • You will lead coordination between Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane (NSWC) team, Test Resource Management Center (TRMC), and Ft. Benning with respect to Drone Dominance Gauntlet execution.
  • You will provide oversight of working group pre-event planning, including approval for all material outputs from Working Groups (WGs).
  • You will review and prepare schedules, track dependencies, and ensure complete hand-offs between WGs.
  • You will ensure test plans are in place for gauntlet execution and document and communicate necessary deviations.
  • You will communicate status and risks to the stakeholder leadership.
  • You will develop risk mitigation strategies for items that could impact cost/schedule/performance of test events.
