Specialized Experience: For the GS-14, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service.
Specialized experience for this position includes: Conducting regulatory projects or enforcement efforts in alcohol beverage regulatory program areas; AND Resolving alcohol regulatory program issues; AND Leading task forces or working groups on significant issues; AND Developing or coordinating policy and regulatory decisions.
The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service.. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.

TIME-IN-GRADE: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-14, you must have been at the GS-13 level for 52 weeks.
TIME AFTER COMPETITIVE APPOINTMENT: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
Major Duties:
This position is located at Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB),Assistant Administrator - Field Operations - Trade Investigations Division.
As a Tax and Trade Specialist, you will: Serve as an expert authority on broad alcohol program issues falling within TTB's jurisdiction.
Serve as an advisor to top level management such as the Assistant Administrator, Field Operations, Director, Deputy Director, or Assistant Director, TID, and other management officials in the Bureau on policy issues and technical matters pertaining to the assigned program areas.
Manage projects involving studies of processes, problems, and initiatives that concern Office and Division programs and associated activities in other Federal, State, local, and international regulatory and taxation agencies, and organizations.
Perform complex, in-depth studies and/or direct and coordinate task forces or working groups on significant issues which impact functions and programs of national and international significance, particularly those encompassing programs of the Office and Division.
