In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing licenses, applications or requests for programs associated with the Licensee Tax Responsibility Program (LTRP) to ensure all program requirements are met, including registration and compliance with all Department of Revenue tax systems.

As a Tax Account Collections Technician, you will review licenses, applications or requests for various programs for accurate information by reviewing LTRP and PA Department of Revenue.
Incumbent determines if the taxpayer is registered for all required tax accounts by reviewing Department of Revenue tax system, Pennsylvania Tax Hub (PATH) and determines if a liability is collectible by using information from PATH.
This position contacts taxpayers or their representatives by telephone, letters or email to inform them of any collections liabilities or non-filed returns that must be submitted prior to a LTRP license clearance being issued and notes correspondence in PATH.
In some cases, you will be assigned to previously closed non-compliant LTRP cases to collect and further enforce licensees who have continued tax obligations.
You are responsible for collecting all items necessary including non-filed returns, payments and information needed to bring the taxpayer into compliance with the PA Department of Revenue.
You will process payments received from taxpayers or their representatives and post them to appropriate accounts. Additional duties include:

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time up to 3 days a week after successful completion of required in-office training.
In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed Internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.
If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.

This position will have access to Federal Tax Information (FTI) and is subject to the provisions of IRS Publication 1075 (Pub 1075) which requires you to pass an enhanced background check prior to beginning employment.
