Job Description

Summary

This job involves leading teams that handle the sourcing, buying, speeding up delivery, and shipping of repair parts for the Navy's priority materials office.

You'll supervise both civilian and military staff, ensure efficient transportation of goods, and act as an expert on operations and procedures.

Key Requirements

Full Job Description

You will serve as a Supervisory Supply Management Specialist in the Operations Department of Priority Material Office of PRIORITY MATERIAL OFFICE.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: leading a logistics division of logisticians, responsible for sourcing, procurement, expediting, and shipping repair parts.

  • You will serve as the supervisor of multiple divisions of the PMO operations department.
  • You will plan, direct and supervise all activities accomplished within the divisions by both civilian (GS-2005-07s, GS-1105-0Ss and GS- 2005-09s) and military personnel (E-5s, E-6s and E-7s, E-8's).
  • You will implement the traffic management policies, instructions, methods and techniques for the command.
  • You will establish procedures and controls to ensure responsive, efficient and cost-effective transportation of goods and provide advice, assistance and direction concerning transportation matters to the command, including detachments.
  • You will act as the technical subject matter expert in all areas affecting Command operations.
  • You will be Responsible for the mastery of all aspects of the PMO Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and will continually evaluate all processes to determine the need for new or revised procedures to ensure compliance with Navy supply policy
