Loudoun County's Department of General Services is actively looking for a qualified candidate for a full-time Support Services Technician position to join our Internal Services Division.

The ideal candidate will assist with General Services warehouse operations for the storage and distribution of stored inventory to and from County offices throughout Loudoun County. Must possess the ability to provide exceptional customer service to all customers in a fast-paced office environment. An ideal candidate will possess a professional demeanor, strong communication skills, adaptability to changing circumstances, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Supporting the sale of surplus property, including receiving and preparing surplus items for sale or internal reallocation
• Facilitating surplus sale transactions and maintaining effective communication with customers
• Coordinating surplus property processes and completing all work orders assigned in an automated system
• Assisting with records management, including deliveries, inventory management, and the destruction of confidential records stored at the Records Center
• Accurately pulling and delivering confidential records requests to and from departments in a timely manner
• Ensuring inventory is processed, safely organized, and properly stored
• Operating a forklift, JLG lift, pallet jack, and other basic lift and labor-saving devices
• Working both independently and as an active team member to accomplish team goals in multiple warehouse locations and outdoor areas within Loudoun County
• Delivering polite and prompt customer service to County personnel, vendors, citizens, and other visitors
• Demonstrating compliance with County, Department, and Division policies and procedures, and federal/state laws and regulations, as applicable to position
• Recording and accounting for property as it is sold
• Storing records in a neat, orderly manner; assisting in ensuring that incoming records have the department name, contents description, and destruction date
• May carry out additional critical job responsibilities pertinent to the specific role and departmental assignment

Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent; one (1) year of related work experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Additional Information
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of pre-employment criminal, DMV, and credit background checks.
Valid driver's license and good driving record are required (driving records may be reviewed annually for continued qualification).
Must be able to lift fifty (50) pounds; requires routine lifting, pushing and/or carrying moderately heavy items and driving and working in all types of weather conditions. Must obtain certification to operate forklift and aerial work platform lift within 60 days of employment.
