About the Position: This position is with the Defense Health Agency, located at Tripler Army Medical Center, Directorate of Resource Management, Property Management Branch.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes performing hand receipt management of medical and non-medical equipment; applying requirements for accountable and non-accountable equipment; audit inventory; and using an automated supply system.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).

OR Education: Completed a half year (i.e., 9 semester hours) of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Supply Management, Logistics.

(Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) OR Combination of experience and education: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%.

To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then, divide your semester hours of graduate education by 9. Add the two percentages.

The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify.

(Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05).

Major Duties:

  • Serve as a supply technician performing the full range of related supply processes and functions for the assigned program segment.
  • Audit all assigned hand receipt holders and ensures the conduct of 100% audit of all hand receipts annually for assigned program segment.
  • Apply audit techniques to determine cause(s) of inventory discrepancies.
  • Determine proper sequences for various supply transactions such as but not limited to, establishing, changing and canceling property records; change of hand receipt holders, hand receipts, gain and loss transactions.
  • Perform systematic review of property books to update unit prices, nomenclatures, local use codes, authorized quantities, etc.
