Job Description

Summary

This job involves managing and tracking aviation supply kits for helicopter squadrons in the U.S.

Navy, including handling inventories, ordering materials, and updating databases to support deployed aircraft.

It's a hands-on role focused on ensuring supplies are available and accounted for during missions.

A good fit would be someone with experience in logistics or inventory management, attention to detail, and familiarity with military or technical supply systems.

Key Requirements

  • At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-05 (for GS-06) or GS-06 (for GS-07) in federal or equivalent service
  • Experience conducting on-load and off-load inventories with ship or squadron personnel
  • Ability to manage assets and maintain a local carcass tracking program
  • Proficiency in extracting reports, tracking requisitions, and resolving supply issues
  • Knowledge of Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) database and Naval Aviation Logistics Command Management Information System (NALCOMIS)

Full Job Description

You will serve as a Supply Technician in the Aviation Support Department of HELICOPTER MARITIME STRIKE WING PAC.

Salary Range: GS-06 $51,871-$67,432 GS-07 $57,641-$74,935 GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: managing assets, conducting on-load and off-load inventories and maintaining a local carcass tracking program by extracting various reports and asset requisition status to coordinate and resolve supply program support problems.

GS-06: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: conducting on-load and off-load inventories with ship/squadron personnel and maintaining a local carcass tracking program to ensure kits are accounted for and valid.

  • You will manage a designated group of pack-up kit aviation assets as well as a group of designated pack-up kits to support aircraft and squadrons while in a deployed status.
  • You will ensure allowance increases and decreases are loaded to the Stock Item Record in the Navy, Enterprise Resource Planning database and the Master Record File in the Naval Aviation Logistics Command Management Information System database.
  • You will requisition material for new and increased allowances.
  • You will arrange for disposition of excess stock and track and cancel outstanding dues.
  • You will ensure the timely submission of requisitions into the Department of Defense supply system to satisfy high priority requirements as well as deficiencies existing in the pack-up kit.
  • You will review requirements, initial and replenishment, and prepare and submit requisitions in accordance with Military Standard Requisition, Issue Procedures, Military Standard Transaction, and Accounting Procedures.
  • You will take necessary action to stock required consumable assets in the kit.
