About the Position: This position is located at Brooke Army Medical Center. Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes conducting medical supply ordering transactions with automated computer supply system; identifying potential errors in supply records; and storing incoming supplies.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-05..

For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Major Duties:

  • Assist customers in the acquisition of medical and non-medical supplies and equipment.
  • Determine, establish, and manage estimates and supply requirements.
  • Manage medical supply operations by utilizing logistics automated systems.
  • Conduct periodic inventory of assigned supply areas.
  • Initiate orders for medical, non-medical supplies, and equipment through the appropriate channels.
  • Perform all quality control and maintenance of assigned storage areas.
  • Research and make corrections to any supply item discrepancies.
  • Ensure medical supplies and material are properly marked, tagged, labeled, and/or in properly marked containers.
