About the Position: This position is located at General Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital in the Director of Dental, Clinical Dentistry A, performing a variety of supply duties relating to the requisition, receipt, storage, issue, replenishment, inventory, and control of supplies standard medical and non-medical (stocked and non-stocked) items.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes conducting inventory, ordering supplies, and maintaining supply records.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-04).

OR Education: Four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university.

OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%.

To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60.

Add the two percentages. Major Duties:

  • Perform a variety of supply duties relating to the requisition, receipt, storage, issue, replenishment, inventory, and control of supplies standard medical and non-medical (stocked and non-stocked) items.
  • Forecast and maintain stock levels and supply flow according to usage rates, delivery time, current demand, items on hand, and cost based on quantities ordered.
  • Use automated computer supply system software and manual procedures to perform daily dental supply ordering transactions to include Prime Vendor supplies and to order office supplies.
  • Maintain a current list of all standard and nonstandard supply items.
  • Coordinate with installation maintenance and property management personnel for proper procedures and disposition.
  • Operate office automation equipment and computer terminals to input and retrieve data.
  • Type various documents such as justification for priority order items that include memorandums, letters, forms, and other materials.
