This position is located in the Medical Media Service of the VA Medical Center in Dallas, TX.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS GS-12: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position.
To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level.
Related experience includes such duties as: leading and managing a visual information team; assigning/prioritizing work; conducting performance evaluations; mentoring staff to elevate craft and delivery; overseeing end-to-end production for multi-channel visual campaigns (print, digital, social, video, motion, and UX/UI); setting timelines, milestones, and quality assurance gates; ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery; managing staff resources, budget, and contracts; coordinating with stakeholders and vendors; utilizing metrics/analytics to assess effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.

You will be rated on the following Competencies as part of the assessment questionnaire for this position: Leadership Project Management Technical Credibility IMPORTANT: A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week.

***THIS IS NOT A VIRTUAL POSITION, YOU MUST LIVE WITHIN OR BE WILLING TO RELOCATE WITHIN A COMMUTABLE DISTANCE OF THE DUTY LOCATION*** Leading and managing a Visual Information team; Planning, producing, and overseeing visual content across VA channels while ensuring alignment with mission priorities, brand standards, and accessibility requirements; Delivering high-quality, timely visual communications; Assigning/prioritizing work and conducting performance evaluations; Mentoring staff to elevate craft and delivery; Overseeing end-to-end production for multi-channel visual campaigns (print, digital, social, video, motion, and UX/UI); Setting timelines, milestones, and QA gates; Ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery; Managing staff resources, budget, and contracts; Coordinating with stakeholders and vendors; Utilizing metrics/analytics to assess effectiveness and drive continuous improvement; Ensuring all visual content meets Section 508 and WCAG accessibility requirements; Incorporating best practices for readability, color contrast, alt-text, captions, and other features that make content usable for individuals of all abilities; Establishing and enforcing VA brand guidelines; Managing templates, design systems, and reviewing workflows; Conducting quality checks to ensure consistency and accuracy; Performing related duties as required.
