Base salary range: $51,332 - $66,732
Typical requirements: 1 year specialized experience at GS-8. Master's degree or 2 years graduate study.
Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves overseeing the daily operations of a naval air terminal, ensuring smooth coordination of air transport services, maintenance of vehicles, and compliance with military rules.
It also includes managing budgets, identifying and fixing operational issues, and leading a team to improve efficiency.
A good fit would be someone with experience in transportation or logistics supervision, strong problem-solving skills, and familiarity with government or military procedures.
You will serve as a SUPERVISORY TRANSPORTATION OPERATIONS SPECIALIST for the NAVAL AIR TERMINAL.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:1) Maintains records, review logs, status boards and observes operations to ensure air terminal services are properly coordinated and performed; 2) Identify problem areas and take remedial actions to correct it; 3) Engage in expenditure planning though budgeting and facilitating reimbursable transactions; 4) Determining aircraft and cargo requirements in regard to airlift capabilities, limitations, and restrictions; and 5) Applying DOD rules, regulations, and laws of military air terminal and flight line operations to ensure compliance.
