Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves leading a team to manage supplies, especially hazardous materials, for the Navy's logistics center in Washington state.
You'll oversee daily operations like warehousing, transportation, and procurement using government purchase cards, while ensuring everything runs efficiently and follows regulations.

You will serve as a Supervisory Supply Management Specialist in the Fleet Logistics Center Puget Sound (FLCPS) Operations Department of NAVSUP FLT LOGISTICS CNTR PUGET SOUND.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-09 or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing Supply Management Specialist work applying a wide range of well-established supply and hazardous material management principles, concepts, and regulations to analyze, evaluate, and resolve supply management/procurement issues or problems and insure the effectiveness and efficiency of supply, inventory management, and distribution, husbanding and storage operations.
I have experience assisting in the initiation, development, implementation, and interpretation of supply policies and directives for a variety of work situations involving various levels of supply control.
I have experience leading a team by balancing the workload among employees taking into consideration the complexity of the work in comparison to the skill level of the employee in order to complete the overall objective of a mission.
Examples of specialized experience include the following: 1) Plan and determine current and future supply hazardous material requirements to meet customer needs.
2) Participate in analyzing supply metrics and operations to resolve difficult issues and problems involving supply processes, work methods, supply data management, and day-to-day operational procedures (inventory distribution and storage) in support of critical materials; 3) Input budget and manpower requirements in the applicable supply databases; 4) Participate in coordinating the objectives and plans of supply product and service programs; 5) Assigns work based on priorities, considering the difficulty and requirements of tasks and the capabilities of subordinates.
