Job Description

Summary

This job involves leading a team to manage supply chain operations for the Navy in Japan, including tracking items, handling shipping and storage, and overseeing budgets to ensure supplies are available for missions.

It's a supervisory role where you'll develop plans and procedures to meet goals while managing over 20 staff members.

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY SUPPLY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the NAVSUP FLT LOGISTICS CNTR YOKOSUKA . ***ACCESS TO MEDICAL AND DENTAL CARE IN JAPAN IS EXTREMELY LIMITED.

Please see Additional Information section below.*** Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Knowledge in Program processes with tracking, transportation, receiving, issuing storage, shipping and physical inventories.

Supervising personnel in accomplishing designated work, assigning and monitoring workflow.

  • You will be the senior civilian responsible for managing the Advanced Traceability and Control program.
  • You will recommend and initiate the development of action plans, policies and procedures to achieve mission goals and objectives.
  • You will Initiate and/or establishes priorities, and coordinates analysis to support recommendations and implementations of programs and procedures.
  • You will Submit, execute and maintain a Supply Chain Management operational budget and ensures supplies are readily available to meet ATAC mission goals.
  • You will Supervise a workforce of 20 plus personnel to efficiently accomplish designated work.
  • You will provide advice and assistance, and resolves problems and difficulties encountered.
  • You will review and evaluate completed studies, reports etc., for adherence to policy and specific directives, thoroughness, quality of work products and value judgment.
  • You will perform all supervisory duties to include ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies including Merit System Principles and Prohibited Personnel Practices.
