This is a GG-13 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS).
The GG-13 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Full Performance" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-13 level.
The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job.
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position.
Examples of creditable experience include: Developing and interpreting security guidelines which include national security policy statements, Executive Orders, DoD policy and concepts, and many special security policy directives from many sources.
Anticipate and solve information security problems, identify future requirements and develop security instructions to guide personnel.
Knowledge of a wide range of security concepts, principles, and practices to review, independently analyze and resolve difficult and complex security problems; apply policy direction to contractors and government/military officials, and develop guidance for applying security policy, procedures, techniques, equipment, and methods to a variety of work situations and various levels or degrees of security controls.
Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1.
Knowledge of a wide range of security concepts, principles, and practices to review, independently analyze and resolve difficult and complex security problems; apply policy direction to contractors and government/military officials, and develop guidance for applying security policy, procedures, techniques, equipment, and methods to a variety of work situations and various levels or degrees of security controls.
2. Comprehensive knowledge of required security training concepts, programs, procedures, and practices to assist managers in complying with established security programs. 3.
Skill in developing, analyzing, and evaluating multiple security programs (Physical, Personnel, Industrial, and Information) to meet mission requirements and improve organization security programs. 4.
Ability to establish effective progression working relationships with coworkers and customers, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission. 5.
Ability to communicate orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and accurately to a large range of audiences.
Able to articulate complex technical security requirements, methods, philosophies to non-security personnel. 6.
Ability to manage staff (Division/Branch levels) and carry out all phases of personnel management responsibilities. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT CONTINUED: 1.
Position is designated special-sensitive and requires eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), other intelligence-related Special Sensitive information, or involvement in Top Secret Special Access Programs (SAP) to fully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position.
A non-disclosure agreement must be signed. 2.
Drug Testing: This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Demand Reduction Program.
Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing.
Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety. 3.
Department of Defense Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC), and Security Program Integration Professional Certification conferrals are required within 2 years of the established employee EOD or initial assignment date to this position in accordance with DOD 3305.13-M, DoD Security Accreditation and Certification.
The listed certification requirements may not be deleted or modified without the written approval of the AF Security Functional Authority (SAF/AA) or their delegated security career field representative.

Key: The duties of this position meets all requirements as a category 4 designation, and shall not be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization without seriously impairing the capability of the parent Federal Agency or office to function effectively.
This position must be removed from the Ready Reserve and CAN NOT become a member of the Ready Reserve.
(IAW: DoDD 1200.7, "Screening the Ready Reserve,") PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work.
You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

Major Duties:
The primary purpose of this position is: To serve as Space Operations Command (SPOC) Branch Chief, Physical Security Office (S2P) and United States Space Force Divisional Chief, Physical Security Office (USSF/S2P); a SERVICE and FIELDCOM equivalent.
To protect the Service and Command from espionage, terrorism, and threats of unauthorized disclosure and/or compromise of information considered vital to HQ USSF and HQ SpOC missions. 1.
As Division Chief, plans, organizes, and directs the activities of United States Space Force and Space Operations Command Special Security Office (SSO) Physical Security ensuring that the SSO complies with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs.
2. Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities. 3. Reviews plans and makes recommendations on operations and maintenance of SCI physical resources security inputs. 4.
Conducts Initial SCIF Certifications/Evaluations and Staff Assistance Visits (SAV) to both geographically dispersed and local subordinate SCIFs to ensure adherence to applicable SCI security regulations.
5. Serves as the SPOC and HQ USSF Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the execution, management and administration of the Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Physical Security program.
