Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing guidance, technical support and assistance in the implementation of Safety and Occupational Health programs, directing the gathering and analyzing of mishap data and hazards, ensuring deficiencies are identified and recommending corrective action.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Major Duties:

  • You will plan, direct, assign, and review work of subordinates setting priorities and deadlines making appropriate adjustments as necessary.
  • You will directly serve the Base Safety Center by fulfilling safety goals and objectives and carry out program requirements in close cooperation with unit supervisors throughout the base.
  • You will address conduct issues counseling and take appropriate disciplinary action including warnings and reprimands, and refer more serious matters to superiors.
  • You will determine training needs of assigned personnel and ensure needed training is provided.
  • You will develop and manage assigned budgets.
  • You will select and develop training aids and other materials required for presentation of safety subjects for Base personnel.
  • You will direct the systematic compilation and analysis of mishap data and hazards to property, interprets and evaluates the accumulated information and eliminates or controls the identified hazard.
