Full Job Description

This position is located in NSA Mid-South, in Millington, Tennessee, Fleet and Family Readiness Program, Fleet Readiness Department in the Community Recreation Department.

The incumbent will serve as the Recreational Lodging and Restaurant Manager.

The purpose of this position is to provide program management of Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) lodging facilities (to include RV Park) and Park Field Cafe.

Qualifying experience must have been equivalent to the next lower level in the normal line of progression. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Knowledge of recreational programs.

Knowledge of the entire scope of activities and their suitability in the Community Recreation Program for individuals and groups of varying demographics, ages and interests.

Program planning and leadership skills to devise and implement a leisure and social recreation program that will stimulate and sustain the interests of participants and challenge participants that they may benefit from the social values to be derived from recreational activities.

Knowledge of the goals, principles, techniques and methods of procedure used in organizing, planning, and conducting all types of activities.

Ability to create, negotiate, implement, and sustain partnerships via various MWR agreements. Ability to represent the department and speak in front of both small and large groups.

Knowledge of recreational and entertainment events. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience.

You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

Major Duties:

Overall Program Management Responsible for actively managing operations of the MWR Recreational Lodging Oversees the day-to-day maintenance of all properties and is responsible for ensuring that all discrepancies are corrected in a timely manner.

Oversees all staff to include laundry workers, housekeeping, front desk, operations and maintenance. Acts as a primary liaison for recapitalization projects at all facilities.

Food and Beverage Management (Park Field Café) Operational Oversight: Oversees all aspects of the Park Field Cafe daily operations.

Collaborates with culinary staff on menu planning, development and pricing to ensure offerings are appealing and profitable. Regularly assesses food quality and presentation to maintain high standards.

Manage all F&B inventory including ordering supplies, monitoring stock levels, and minimizing wastes. Adhere to budgetary constraints and implement cost-control measures.

Ensure an exceptional dining experience for all patrons by addressing guest inquiries and resolving complaints in a professional manner.

Lodging and Guest Services Management Establishes and maintains a pro-active resident relations and communications program to achieve superb customer service (i.e.

resident town halls, holiday gatherings, etc.) Develops and implements a continuous marketing program to ensure a high level of occupancy year-round and therefore a required level of productivity.

Ensures each lodging area has appropriate hand-out materials to guide guest to local recreational options and amenities, such as gas stations, markets, urgent care centers, grocery stores, recreational facilities, etc.

Responsible for ordering all cleaning supplies and amenities for lodging and the RV Park. Safety Maintenance and Financial Administration Performs daily inspections of all spaces.

Assist with the preparation and implementation of emergency evacuation procedures Ensures the cleanliness and maintenance of all assigned buildings and that grounds are free from health/safety hazards.

Reports hazardous conditions and initiates maintenance request in a timely manner. Reviews all invoices and billing to ensure accuracy before payment.

Prepares a draft budget for submission and ensures proper budgetary and accounting policies are followed to maintain self-sufficiency of 100%. Other Duties Performs other duties as assigned.
