This job involves leading and managing swimming and water-based activities at an Air Force base's aquatics center, including planning programs, ensuring safety, and performing lifeguard duties.

About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Aquatics Center on Ellsworth AFB.
Must have knowledge of principles, practices, and techniques of aquatic program management.
Must possess and maintain a valid and current American Red Cross Lifeguard certification in lifesaving and water rescue methods and skills.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience: Must have knowledge of principles, practices, and techniques of aquatic program management.
Must have and maintain a current nationally recognized certification in type of activity and skill level of instruction, e.g. swimming instruction aquatic exercise, etc.
A current American Red Cross Lifeguard certification in lifesaving and water rescue methods and skills, as well as basic first aid training, and CPR (infant, child and adult). Major Duties:
Plans and administers year-round aquatics programs. Plans, promotes, and schedules special events and daily activities to address the needs of the base.
Observes, enforces, and ensures all safety regulations are being met. Manages customer services and maintains swimming facilities.
Responsible for all activity supplies, equipment, facilities, and ensures proper maintenance of such. Performs lifeguarding duties, swim lesson instruction and other related duties as needed.
