This Job Opportunity Announcement may be used to fill other Supervisory Program Specialist, 0301-15, positions within the Census Bureau in the same geographical location with the same qualifications and specialized experience.
Specialized Experience: For the GS-15, you must have one year of experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 in the Federal service: Developing records management policies and procedures to ensure best practices and compliance with Federal statutes; identifying theory, principles, concepts, and practices of administrative management to analyze factual information, evaluate significant factors, and resolve complex problems; providing leadership and guidance in privacy/policy development and international collaborations; and assigning and reviewing work, approving leave, rating performance, recommending awards and promotions, and taking disciplinary action.
Education: Education cannot be substituted at this grade level Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).
Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
