Summary

This job involves leading a team to plan, direct, and oversee the development and acquisition of equipment and systems for naval special warfare, including managing budgets, priorities, and employee performance.

Full Job Description

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY PROGRAM MANAGER in the COMBAT DEVELOPMENT DIRECTORATE of COMNAVSPECWARDEVGRU.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Planning, directing, and coordinating development and acquisition support functions and actions; executing major projects; and providing supervision to subordinates.

  • You will plan and direct work to be accomplished by subordinates; establish immediate, short-term, and long-range priorities; and prepares schedule for the completion of tasks.
  • You will warn or reprimand employees for minor disciplinary infractions and recommends more serios disciplinary action to the Combat Development Director when warranted.
  • You will conduct employee assessments in accordance with National Security Personnel System (NSPS) doctrine.
  • You will provide over-arching management of NSWDGs investment funded (Procurement and R/D) acquisition programs for development and fielding of equipment and systems.
  • You will develop program strategies based on in-dept analysis of issues, requirements, long-range projections, and consideration of overall acquisition objectives, budgetary constraints, technological advances, and political environments.
