Full Job Description

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY POSTAL OPERATIONS SPECIALIST in the Postal Division of NAVSUP FLC SIG GF .

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Implementing United States Postal Service (USPS), Department of Defense (DoD), postal regulations as well as any current USPS initiatives and programs to maintain currency and strict compliance with all postal laws; 2) ?Monitoring all postal operations, mail transportation, distribution and dispatch procedures, Custodian of Postal Effects (COPE), postal customer service/finance operations, mail accountability, mail security, and mail directory to identify problem areas; 3) Providing management advice and assistance on official and personal postal matters.

?4) Interpreting postal metrics and the presenting of postal reports and information and management data using analytical tools and techniques necessary to evaluate the impact of new or proposed postal regulations to predict staffing and operational impact, conduct special studies of functional areas and to evaluate current and future postal staff and contractors' ability to meet command's needs; 5) Performing records review and material inspections of postal facilities ; 6) Using Automated Military Postal System (AMPS) and modern package delivery systems (i.e.

intelligent lockers) to facilitate customer needs. B. I have successfully completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.

  • You will provide technical advice and assistance in various phases of program management to include strategies for assuring long-term workforce survival.
  • You will persuade others to take a particular course of action, accept findings, or recommendations to resolve conflicts.
  • You will coordinate with internal and external managers to promote and develop opportunities for partnering.
  • You will plan and establish priorities for resource assets (e.g., military facilities and equipment, training, manpower, funding resources) for fleet operations programs.
