Job Description

Summary

This job involves leading a team to manage and maintain a fleet of vehicles and equipment for the U.S.

Marine Corps, including handling inventory, budgeting, and ensuring safe operations at a base in Yuma, Arizona.

It's a supervisory role focused on keeping everything running smoothly for military exercises and daily needs.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Managing fleet commercial equipment including analyzing and managing equipment inventory, preparing and forecasting budgets and long-range resource projections and overseeing equipment maintenance programs.

  • You will be responsible for the management, operation, maintenance, repair, disposition and safe operation of all GME fleet equipment and assigned facilities.
  • You will oversee management of inventory including automotive vehicles, material handling equipment, weight handling equipment and construct equipment, tailoring the inventory to meet the installation's requirements.
  • You will prepare and forecast budgets and long-range resource projections.
  • You will authorize procurement of supplies, parts, equipment and services.
  • You may be required to support large scale exercises and deployments requiring the movement of personnel, supplies and equipment to a variety of ports and destinations
  • You will supervise department employees, determining work schedules and management of resources to ensure the most efficient and effective completion of fleet functions.
