Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves leading a team of nuclear engineers and technicians to oversee the repair, maintenance, and testing of nuclear-powered ships and submarines in the U.S. Navy.
You'll provide technical guidance, ensure safety and quality standards, and coordinate training programs.
It's ideal for an experienced engineer with strong leadership skills who thrives in a high-stakes, technical environment focused on naval operations.
You will serve as a SUPERVISORY NUCLEAR ENGINEER in the Nuclear Engineering and Planning Department, Code 2300 of PSNS and IMF.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: as a professional Engineer providing leadership and technical direction for nuclear engineering projects in support of the repair, maintenance, overhaul, or testing, of nuclear-powered ships or submarines.
