This job involves leading a team of naval architects to oversee the design, construction, and maintenance of Navy ships, ensuring everything meets safety and technical standards.
You'll make key decisions on engineering projects, manage contracts with shipbuilders, and advise on structural issues for vessels.

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY NAVAL ARCHITECT in the Naval Architecture Division Manager for the Engineering Department of SUPSHIP GULF COAST.
This position is part of the Department of Defense Civilian Acquisition Workforce Personnel Demonstration Project. The NH-4 broadband level encompasses positions equivalent to GS-14 and GS-15.
This position is subject to work overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the pay band NH-03 (GS-13 equivalent) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: as a professional engineer analyzing the engineering architectural designs or specifications of surface ships to support the integration of shipboard systems, subsystems and components.
