Full Job Description

This position is located in the Department of Housing and Urban Development, Asst Secretary for Housing-Federal Housing Commissioner, Office of Deputy Assistant Secretary for Operations, Office of Management, Administrative Support Services Division.

You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.

Specialized Experience: Specialized Experience for the GS-15, you must have one year (full 52 weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service.

Specialized experience for this position is defined as: - Applying laws, regulations, policies, and procedures governing federal facilities management and general services to provide authoritative guidance to senior officials on functions such as; space planning, facilities management and support services regarding equipment, supplies, office space, telecommunications, travel, general logistics support, and government credit card program; AND - Developing and monitoring budgets for space projects and other issues related to space management; AND - Managing and evaluating key program objectives and milestones in planning an organization's infrastructure, specifically facilities and property space management, and general administrative management services; AND - Supervising or leading a staff of professional and/or administrative functions.

The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.

Time-in-Grade: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-15 you must have been at the GS-14 level for 52 weeks.

Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.

As a Supervisory Management Analyst, you will: - Manage the travel process for Housing (day-to-day and relocation), including proactively managing the control of approved travel orders and vouchers that are funded by Housing Headquarters.

- Manage and implement Housing's training programs.

Conduct annual assessments of training needs and develops the annual Housing Training Plan (Plan) in collaboration with the Housing program offices, the Housing budget office, and the Departmental training office.

- Be responsible for working with the Departmental administrative offices and Housing program offices to provide support on all matters pertaining to equipment, supplies, office space, telecommunications, general logistics support, and government credit card program.

- Serve as an advisor to senior level Housing managers on all issues relative to the areas of responsibility cited above.

Using sound professional judgment and high standards of customer service, provides accurate and appropriate advice and guidance to Housing staff that is within the best interests of the Department.

- Ensure staff is trained on and is using the most current and accurate information to perform their duties.
