About the Position: This position serves as a Supervisory Logistic Management Specialist for the U.S. Army Security Assistance Command.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Overseeing logistics and supply program management support to Foreign Military Sales (FMS) customers to meet requirements and deadlines; 2) Monitoring case performance to ensure compatibility with functional areas of procurement, maintenance, supply, and financial accounting; AND 3) Distributing workload among team members to meet suspense's while ensuring their actions are accurate and in accordance with organizational policies.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).

You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).

Major Duties:

  • Plan, direct, control, and coordinate Security Assistance and Security Cooperation activities and functions throughout assigned area to by managing the life cycle of Foreign Military Sales cases, from initiation to closure.
  • Manage assigned workload amongst team members to complete assigned project or tasks, to the established or specified standard, by the designated suspense, and within the prescribed resource constraints.
  • Provide advice to various levels of US and foreign organizations om accordance with key regulatory frameworks concerning Security Assistance and Security Cooperation programs, methods, and techniques affecting country-to-country support.
  • Plan, prioritize, assign, review, and accept or reject the work of subordinates.
  • Align the work unit’s Foreign Military Sales technical activities with the Security Assistance Enterprise/ Army Security Assistance Enterprise resources, DoD SAE prioritization, and Geographic Combatant Command theatre campaign strategies and plans.
