About the Position: This position serves as a Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist for the U.S. Army Security Assistance Command located at Redstone Arsenal, AL.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Providing technical advice on total package fielding of equipment, training, and other services related to the foreign military sales program; 2) Carrying out procedural development and administrative functions; 3) Directing staff in performing logistics management and foreign military sales functions; 4) Advising, counseling, and instructing employees on work to be performed; AND 5) Identify developmental training needs of subordinates.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).

You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).

Major Duties:

  • Provide technical advice and assistance for total package fielding of equipment, training, and other services related to the Security Assistance (SA) program.
  • Analyze Department of Defense and Army regulations, rules, and policies in order to translate laws into program goals and services.
  • Perform the full range of supervisory functions while planning and carrying out program and procedural development and administrative functions.
  • Establish and maintain liaison with foreign government personnel involved in the U.S. Army Security Assistance Command (USASAC) program.
